cheesy chalk art

Mission Cheese by Josh Lowe | circuriousdesign.comMore chalk art! On a recent trip to San Francisco I was drawn into Mission Cheese on Valencia Street. I can’t even eat cheese, but it looked so inviting. The space was wonderful and I immediately spotted the sheep drawings in chalk. The art by Josh Lowe was created initially for the grand opening in 2011 to show the names of the restaurant investors in the wooly coat of the sheep. It was so well received the sheep remain a presence in the restaurant.

Spyhouse Coffee offers a delightful walk to the bathroom. The building’s hallways are decorated in whimsical dots, neon lights, an archival photo in a repetitive pattern, and tires draping from the ceiling. This restored warehouse at 945 Broadway in NE Minneapolis is home to office space, shops, 612 Brew, and Spyhouse Coffee.
